******** SELLER WILL FINANCE ********

Why is this so much less expensive than any other out there?

Because, it needs to be sold. Make an offer.

No, there's no major issues with it either.

This 1976 Hinckley Sou'West 50 Yawl is available for sale in Rhode Island.

Rigged and ready to launch.

Both the engine and generator were inspected by the Hinckley yard and are in good working order.

Price to sell, she is listed substantially below comparable Hinckley 50's, which are selling from at $100,000 or more above this one. This is your opportunity to own a Hinckley classic yacht.

Recently rigged and sea trialed after several years stored in a heated facility, this well maintained Hinckley had all the brightwork on deck completely redone (June/July 2014) and she looks great. More work has been done on the interior and new bottom paint applied.

New in 2017

House and starter batteries (5)

Bilge pump

Spinnaker halyard

Jib halyard

Mast head nav light (3 lights)

Named Thistle, this Sou'West 50 has been consistently maintained and is ready for a new owner. She is available by appointment.

As you step aboard, you will notice the amount of deck space, recent varnish work, and how easily accessible the lines are allowing for the boat to be single handed should you like to sail solo. Owner says with a furling job and the mizzen she is easily handled.

Heading down below, the galley is to port with wood grain Formica countertops, Force 10 4 never used burner stove, multiple refrigeration units, hot and cold pressure water system and double stainless steel sinks.

To starboard is the nav station, with radar, loran, and GPS systems. There is a multi-drawer chart size desk giving plenty of storage for all your charts, boat manuals, pulleys, shackles, pins etc.

Aft of the nav station and under the starboard cockpit area is a quarter berth for crew or for additional storage.

To port and forward of the galley area is the dinette, with an additional sea berth behind the main seating area. To starboard is more seating, which pulls out for yet more sleeping accommodations.

Moving forward, both the guest and master heads are to port and forward of that, the owner's cabin which has a roomy v-berth arrangement with filler for a full double berth arrangement.

Thistle is powered by a Ford Lehman FWC 80 HP diesel, with less than 1,500 hours. There is also an Onan generator to power the reverse cycle heat and A/C.

She has a bronze centerboard keel which gives an 11' draft for added stability, and a solid fiberglass hull.

On deck there is a full sail inventory consisting of a fully-battened main with roach, fully-battened mizzen with max roach, 120% Genoa headsail, roller-furling, 150% Genoa, Storm Trysail, Storm Jib, Reefable staysail for inner forestay, a Hood MPS cruising spinnaker with snuffer, spinnaker pole and Sail covers. All have a lot of life left in them.

There are a number of winches, 2  Barient #35 2-speed primaries, 2 Barient #26-2-speed electric secondaries, (2) Barient #33 two-speed port mast lower and reefing winches, a Barient #10 on Mizzen mast and reefing winch.

Large dorades on deck for ventilation down below.
